Every year, Life Management Center provides individual, family, marital, and group counseling to over 6,000 adults and senior adults. Our counselors help with personal problem areas that include anxiety and depression, stress reactions, adjustment difficulties of old age, domestic violence, substance abuse, mental illness, and adverse reactions to health or work difficulties. Medical ServicesMedication may be a very important treatment component for some psychiatric disorders. Life Management Center's psychiatrists and nursing staff provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and ongoing consultation to individuals and their family members to help achieve and maintain stability. Social RehabilitationPersons with severe and persistent mental illness may need more extensive care. Our adult social rehabilitation programs promote education, rehabilitation, and personal growth in a positive, well supervised setting. Residential TreatmentResidential treatment may be preferable to hospitalization or needed to assist in the transition following hospitalization. Life Management Center offers transitional residential services for adults. These services are integrated with other Life Management Center services to provide a comprehensive treatment approach. Inpatient TreatmentIn some cases, severe life adjustments and emotional problems may require intensive inpatient treatment. Inpatient treatment is available at Life Management Center's Crisis Stabilization Unit. We also make arrangements for treatment at other regional psychiatric hospitals. Evaluation and ConsultationPsychological testing or other specialized evaluations coupled with professional consultation may be of particular value to individuals or professionals in making decisions about personal adjustment issues. Workshops, Seminars and TrainingLife Management Center is a valuable training and educational resource for the community. The Center's professional staff members are available to speak to community groups concerning a variety of life adjustment and mental health topics. Continued education workshops and seminars are conducted for area professionals. Specialized training is supplied to health, social service, law enforcement, and other agency personnel. The Center serves as a training site for college and university psychology, social service, and nursing programs.
