Healthy Families Program
(Co-sponsored by the Ounce of Prevention Fund of Florida and the Florida
Department of Children and Families)
Healthy Families is a voluntary, home-visiting program for
new and expectant families of newborns living in targeted areas of Bay and Gulf
Counties who are experiencing stressful life situations. The program is designed
to enable children to grow up healthy, safe and nurtured. It promotes positive
parenting and healthy child development, thereby preventing child abuse and
